Whether you are a business owner, work in a cubicle or simply use a computer in your house, you will greatly benefit from cyber security tools. However, you might not know which specific cyber security tools are the best and whether they are worthy of your hard-earned money. Instead of taking a risk by purchasing cyber security tools, consider the no-cost options provided by the United States CISA as detailed below. CISA is an acronym short for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.

Digital Security Services Everyone Should Check Out

Even if you are up-to-date on the latest forms of digital threats and receive assistance from a digital security and information technology specialist, you still need tools and services to identify and defend against digital attacks. Seize the opportunity to implement the 100+ services dubbed “Free Cybersecurity Services and Tools” provided by CISA, and you’ll take full advantage of these open-source services and tools for private businesses, organizations in the public sector, and everyone else concerned with the risks posed by cyber security.

Jen Easterly, the Director of CISA, issued a statement regarding the agency’s free tools and services made available to the public. Easterly highlighted that organizations of all types and sizes are in the crosshairs of hackers, yet many are lacking in digital defenses.
Easterly noted how the resources made available through CISA will make it easier for such organizations to boost their digital security defenses. She went on to detail how digital security is becoming even more important considering the current context in which the threat level is elevated.

Additional Details About CISA’s Public Outreach

The catalog of tools and services provided by CISA is the latest in a series of actions taken by the agency to help public and private organizations to defend against the ever-growing number of digital security threats. The hope is that these services/tools facilitate the adoption of essential measures that enhance organizational resilience through the patching of cyber security weaknesses within software, implementing multi-factor authentication, and defending against bad practices.

CISA has created dedicated portals that detail the currently known exploited weaknesses, cyber security procedures considered to be egregiously risky, and threats tied to influence and information operations. The dedicated portals also provide assistance in the quest to thwart ransomware infections and mitigate the potential damage from especially risky digital security procedures.

CISA’s latest tool for combating digital security threats is referred to as “Shields Up,” as it is a metaphorical digital shield against online threats. This campaign communicates with United States-based organizations when potential risks stemming from online threats are likely to disrupt access to important services and possibly compromise public safety.

CISA’s Latest Alert

CISA recently released an alert that touches on the steps businesses can take to pinpoint, assess, and thwart threats pertaining to the potential manipulation of information and systems. The organization’s public relations specialist also noted how enhancements in networked systems have set the stage for additional opportunities for exploitation.
Malevolent actors have the potential to use mal-information, disinformation, and misinformation to alter the way in which the public perceives latent threats, create harmful divisions, and sabotage essential services and functions in all economic sectors.
