The breach was an unapproved actor gaining access to sensitive client details. This included addresses, social security numbers, medical information, names, birth dates, state IDs, passport numbers, and driver's license numbers.
The breach occurred when an unauthorized party accessed a TRPN employee's email. "On June 3, 2022, TRPN identified unauthorized access to one (1) employee email account by an unauthorized party," read the notice to the California Attorney General's Office. "We immediately initiated an investigation and secured the compromised account." The hacker then sold the data on the dark web.
