The breach was a hack into the systems of the service. The hacker could access a plethora of sensitive information within the allotted time, resulting in thousands of affected customers.

How Did the Breach Occur?

While Lifespire did not release the cause of the breach, it did release a list of the stolen information. The hacker had access to

  • Medicare/Medicaid numbers
  • Medical diagnosis/treatment information
  • Credit card information
  • Bank account information
  • Passport numbers
  • Driver’s license numbers
  • Dates of birth
  • Social Security numbers 
  • Addresses
  • Names

Who Does the Breach Impact?

The breach impacts specific Lifespire customers. Customers are at very high risk of scamming and other malicious acts.
